My VGSOM PI/GD is on 1st March (afternoon ) nd IIM L is scheduled on 2nd (morning). Is it wise to appear fr VGSOM ? I mean is it worth half of my day before a major call?

just want to share an experience from iim k interview. they had told me that they get 'bored' interviewing engineers and hence whenever they get someone from a different stream, they get excited. In short if you are an engineer , you might have to work extra to interest the panel and all non engineers , you have an advantage so use it judiciously

p1(lady): Good afternoon, Praveen. We are glad to have a student from arts. Unlike others, you did your UG in arts. Isn't? (I thought, wow such a nice way to start the interview)
p2(man): Can I see your file, Praveen?
Me: sure sir, Thank you.
p2 (man). Wow. you are holding two Limca world records in Mind mathematics?
Me: Yes, sir.
P2: Out of my own interest, I am asking. forgot about the interview. Explain me how you did it?
Me: (explained)
P2: Great, congratulations. Who did motivated you to do this?
Me: To be honest, none sir. I actually motivated myself. Being from literature, when my friend see me dealing with numbers, they thought I am bit crazy, I just did it myself...
P2: I see, you rarely people from your discipline do it ...right?
Me: (smiled)
P2: Are you trying for Guinness records?
Me: Yes sir, but to get there, I need to increase my speed,....so I am practicing Zen meditation and stuffs like that....
P2: Good....So what other calls did you get?
Me: Told
P2: You haven't got any call from new IIMs?
Me: No sir, (Got lower cutoff in Quants)
P2: Oh I see, if you got admitted in to IIT M, Quant will be tough for you, how will you manage it?
Me: I am used to working hard sir and so I will work hard enough to overcome my difficulties....
P1(lady): You seems so quite and calm. Will you be like this always?
Me: Yes mam, a little bit
P1: but you know MBA is a very hectic and stressful course. How will you manage?
Me: Mam, If situation makes me violent, then I will....(flopped a bit, I shouldn't have used the word violence, but in interview you can't guess for right word.....)
P2: OHhhh the situation.....
P1: Tell me a situation, you had become violent before....
Me: While I was in my 3rd year of UG, I was about to conduct a MUN conference. At that time, no one supported me. So I stressed my self and become a little hard to gather every one to do it.
P1 to P2: Any more questions?
P2: No.

p2 - so you are from Delhi university . born and brought up in Delhi
me- sir born in jharkhand and brought up in Delhi.
then he asked me about jharkhand's partition etc. me- toldp2- which was the last state to get separated.told about telangana and andhra pradesh .p2- who is the cm of ap didnt knew so said so.p2- asked me about what news I follow.told him about startup etc.p2- asked me about recent snapdeal casetold about aamir khan, their recent 200 million funding, still incurring losses etc. couldn't recall about the Rs 68 iphone case so dint tell about it.p2- asked me which ecommerce share has seen an increment unlike all the other ecommerce who are seeing decreasing trend in their shares .told them about flipkart's recent decrease. how amazon snapdeal and flipkart are incurring losses . told about irctc which is right now having huge revenues from their ecommerce platform.p2- ranbaxy belongs to which countrydidn't know .(i think its German)then p1 after looking at my file asked about academics .p2 - what is stackleberg, cournot model, asked about treasury bills, asked about mr mc curves in various markets, asked about international economics - the ricardo model etc.I could not answer 50% of the academics questions.p1- asked about hobbiestold about photography , slr portrait and landscape photography . then they offered toffee said all the best and asked to call the next candidate.overall not so good interview since I could not answer acads questions. they did not ask basic questions but advanced ones. they did not look much cheerful.

Friends, By mistake I entered my #percentile in Delhi school of economicseconomics instead of Cat Score. Though I'm shortlisted for thw interview but should I get it changed. Does it matter and if yes, How can I change it rightnow.....?
