The right way to score 99+ percentile in general.

Give few mocks (2 to 3) and get the idea where you stand now. Get the mock score's average and find which section you need to work most. Follow topicwise approach and continue with 1 to 2 mocks and analysis per week to see the change is positive or not. If u don't see any positive change probably some of the concepts needs to be studied again. From 15 oct to CAT day focus majorly on mocks.  Ideally minimum marks for 99+ . [VARC- 55 DILR -38 QUANT- 50, overall 160].  I gave minimum marks subjectwise as you need to clear sectional cutoffs. Hope this will help the aspirants.

Caution : 1. mocks are there to practice paper solving in 3 hrs with right mindset. Dont take mock scores very seriously. [Mocks means many different concepts in 3 hrs]. Never forget to learn from the mocks.

2. Maintain a note of deadlines of  forms of your preferred college. Sometimes the forms are very lengthy and time is less. Most of the forms deadline fall before CAT exam day.

3. Fill all the forms and don't be prejudice about any particular college.

I made a study group for those who love peer-to-peer learning, which has honestly become a difficulty in quaranTime (pun intended). Feel free to check it out...

The right way to analyze mocks 1. Make a sheet which has all 3 sections. 2. In varc make 4 columns (rc, summary, odd, parajumble) and than inside that have rc questions type like main idea, inference, conclusion, fact based. Now track every type you will get the idea where you are going wrong. 3. For dilr there is no fix format but you should keep track from your previous experience eg. Arrangement que, venn diagram etc. 4 quant again go topic wise divide the complete sheet in different topics like numbers, quadratic, p&c etc. Key point :- sometime the question from a topic might be very tough than use your judgement because than may be you need to learn the question type not the topic. Track by classifying in a right manner based on your comfortness with the topic.

Hey Guys!!

I have been noticing that while I attempt mocks, I am able to keep calm and concentrate in the VA section, but when I reach the other two sections a sort of panic sets in and I'm not able to solve the DiLR and QA section properly.

I am able to easily solve these questions during mock analysis but not during the mock itself. Please help me out as this is seriously affecting my preparation and morale
