🐈 CAT Exam 2020-21 Preparation, Exam Dates, Results & Discussion – PaGaLGuY (Part 1)

What do you think about Scrabbler's expected cutoffs?

  • He’s being too optimistic
  • With so much of experience, he can’t get wrong

This might prove to be helpful:Ā

(Not prepared by me)

Ā Ā

Welingkar (PGDM) Mumbai 30th December (generally they extend the dates)Ā

MBE/MFC Delhi (Department of Financial studies) Delhi University 4th January

Ā NIRMA Ahmedabad 7th January

Ā IIFM Bhopal 10th JanuaryĀ

SIMC Pune 13th JanuaryĀ

TAPMI Manipal 13th January

Ā NITIE Mumbai 15th January

Ā SRCC Delhi 16th JanuaryĀ

Christ Bangalore 22nd January

Ā LIBA Chennai 28th JanuaryĀ

MiCA Ahmedabad 31st JanuaryĀ

IIT's and NIT's will open their applications after declaration of Ā Ā CAT'16 results and most probably will be closed after 30th Jan 2017.

With so many people in 140 range expecting 99+ percentile, I seriously doubt all these estimates.

What do you think about the front page news on some hindi daily that CAT results to be declared on 2nd Jan?

i cannot find the admission form link on irma's page. can somebody help pls???

Why do you think so many colleges have their application deadlines before the CAT results(at least initially, even if some do extend the deadline later)?

  • Very valid and justified
  • Crass money-making endeavors, mad urge for profiteering

Choose the right alternative.

  • I like a reasonably balanced paper. I prefer CAT to XAT.
  • Tougher the paper, better it is for me. I like XAT much more than CAT.
  • Easier the paper, better it is for me. I like to surmount soaring cutoffs.
  • I’m equally comfortable with any of the papers. I don’t give a damn.

Talking in general terms, what would you prefer--paper-based/OMR test or the one where you sit in front of a screen?

  • Latter, because, hey, it’s the 21st century and IT-pervasiveness
  • Latter, because I can leer better at my crush seated diagonally
  • Latter, due to the avoidance of OMR-bubbling drudgery
  • Neither, devise a special test for me, I’m a unicorn.
  • Latter, just because I’ve an aversion to paper-based tests
  • Former, because of no possibilities of a pi-square root fiasco
  • Former, because less chances of any sort of glitch
  • Former, because generally no scaling/normalization involved
  • Former, because I’ve poor eyesight and I can’t stand the glaring screen
  • Latter, because of the seamless availability of rough sheets
  • Latter, because I’m a maestro at it, I’m a geek.
  • Latter, because less chances of cheating, CCTV cameras and all that
  • Latter, because it’s the REAL endurance test
  • Latter, because the exam results can be declared much faster then
  • Former, due to the ease of navigation
  • Former, because of the scribbling ease in diagram-based sums/RCs
  • Former, because of the level platform across diverse populace
  • Former, because of the physical sensation of holding it in your hands
  • Former, because I’ve been doing it since childhood–nothing feels better
  • Former, because I’ll manage even if you get a not-so-good seat
  • Latter ,because one can change one’s choices countless times

No. of attempts at CAT:

  • 4 My scores have largely plateaued, I’m trying to enter the 99.85+ zone.
  • 5 You’re the real stuff–kudos to your perseverance.

  • 1 Just started, am gonna crack it in the first shot.
  • 2 Missed by a whisker the last time, though no stone unturned now.
  • 3 Coaching, mocks, practice–got it all right, but sucked again big time.
  • 5 My boss is terrible and that’s my sole motivation.
