Hey puys, need some serious advice!
I am a fresher. I scored 99.85 this year, with a peaceful preparation of less than 2 months. (Already had a job offer) However, being a GEM, I did not get A/B calls. Today, I got the C call.
Originally, I wanted to convert A and defer it in order to ease the financial burden by working for 2 years. Since, that is not possible, I have 2 options :
1. Try to convert C and join, leaving the job and taking a loan
2. Fresh attempt at CAT, alongside job and be hopeful that I am lucky next year.
Both have their fair share of risks! If anyone who has been in a similar position before can share their experience, that would be great!

Now that the CAT results are out a lot of people have been asking me about how to go about in the next stage i.e. GDPI
I am from Kolkata and had calls last year from IIM LACKIS after securing a 99.92 %ile and I was extremely confused regarding how to even start preparing for these interviews which for me was a once in a life time oppertunity. TIME, CL and IMS were all but too non personal in solving any specific doubts and there was lack of any overall direction.
While browsing through pagalguy i came across a name Backspace Consulting. I had never heard about it before but a few really good candidates were advising me to go for it. I was hesistant initially but eventually went for it and it was an amazing experience. The entire program was personalized and all the mock interviews and GDs were stylized according to specific B-Schools. The classroom programs were a mix of knowledge sessions and activities which tried to bring out the creative aspects. There were outdoor activities and events all of which had a learning aspect to it. By the time my interviews came I was so confident because of all the mock interviews it all seemed so easy. They make you work hard a lot but it all felt rewarding in the end.
Yes these 2 months takes a toil on you mentally but these interviews are really just a conversation and confidence is all that matters. You do not need to know everything under the sun. Just know about yourself and about the things which you write in your application. Ask yourself why you took those big decisions in life and be really honest in your answers.

While filling iim k form, we are asked to fill graduation marks year wise i.e 1st year,2nd year... so in 2nd year should we fill only 2nd year cgpa or c.g at the end of 2nd year?

How do we come to know about the shortlist of newer IIMs? Do they mail us? Has it already been declared?
Regarding IIM-K registration: My college had a CGPA system. We did get GPA for every semester out of 10 and then CGPA as well (till that semester). How are we supposed to write the yearly percentages then?
Can someone please tell me how many IIMs have declared the names of the shortlisted candidates?
