Dear GEMs, basically if you only do well in your academics from age 15 to age 25, be among the toppers of one of the most competitive exams (CAT) of one of the most academically competitive countries,.i.e. India and have achieved this milestone while working for one of the best organisations in the country that campus placed you a couple of years back from one of the most coveted institutes of the country, then you'll have a sure-shot chance at sitting in the personal Interview of the old IIMs. Do not fall for the myths that they take only machines, a human who can fly impresses them as well :)

Can someone please rank the IITs and suggest which ones I can realistically get a call from with a percentile of 92.24 ? GEM with 30 months Work Ex
Seeing all the posts here, there are a few things that come my mind.....
1. Those people with 99+ percentile nd poor acads complaining about how unfair the system is and how undeserving people with good acad but lower percentile get selected need to understand that somebody whose performed consistently good for 6-7 yrs is much more deserving than a 99+ percentiler with much poorer acads.
2. Weightage should be given to college rankings too while shortlisting.....i see some GEMs having 80+ percentage from shitty colleges like VIT being shortlisted while good students having 70+ from nits being rejected.

Guys I have been in my family business from past 1 year. I have added this as my work experience. Now that the work experience certificate / Salary slips are being asked for the next stage of shortlisting. I am not understanding how to provide them as I am not drawing any salary.

I scored OA: 92.53 VA: 86.89 LR: 93.75 QA: 88.39 in CAT 2016.
90+ in both 10th and 12th.
Engineering: 78.7%. currently in final year.
Can i expect a call from any of the IITs?
Friends by reading all your posts I came to know that profile is important while getting call from biggies..!! Please tell me whether my profile is good or not. I've completed x with 95℅ and completed diploma with 83℅. Got campus placement in Asian paints. I was excellent in extra curricular activities both in college and school. While working in Asian paints I've completed my graduation from iei which is professional university and they'll award me degree of chartered engineer. Now I've started preparation for CAT. Is my profile good..?? How much percentle I've to score to get gud college..?? Please guide me..!!
