A stream is flowing at 10 kmph such that distance travelled upstream is equal to distance travelled downstream. A boat travels upstream at two different upstream speeds A and B for the 1st and 2nd halves of the total distance respectively. The ratio of speeds of boat in still water would be 8:11 during these two halves. While returning downstream at speed A+2B, it would take the boat three-tenths of the total time taken while going upstream. Find the two different speeds of boat in still water while going upstream?

Q. On each side of a three kilometer long road, 301 trees are planted, at equal distances. If trees are planted at the same intervals, how many trees would be planted on both the sides on a 200 km long road?

Ans - if 301 trees are planted on each side of a 3km long road, then exactly 20001 trees are planted on each side of a 200km long road. Therefore 40002 trees are planted on the two sides together.
