Is it worth to do the CL’s night onlIne cat coaching for 2019?
Your CAT preparation has taken you this far, here are three things to remember when you are giving THE paper on D-Day -
1. During the paper do not panic on seeing the paper. In case you find yourself stressing out, focus on your breathing. This should help you calm you down. Being calm before giving the paper is infinitely better than stressing out while solving the paper.
2. Don't let your ego come in the way of your paper. If you find yourself taking too much time for your paper - just go ahead. Even if the topic is from one of your strength areas, sometimes they can be made to be left.
3. Make sure you keep track of the time. Keep a mental check of the milestones you want to cover for e.g. (I should have gone through and tried to solve ten questions in twenty minutes).
4. Write down the alphabets and number them before the exam for logical questions.
5. Try not talking to anyone before the exam. It is important to remember that everyone will try to revise everything last minute and stressing out about what you know less is problematic. Just avoid talking about things too much and keep calm.
6. Remember that your score in your mocks is not indicative of your final CAT score. You just need to clear that cutoff once.
My recommendation is to fill up the forms for other colleges like NMIMS and SCMHRD through NMAT and SNAP so that when you walk out of that hall, you are not worried about a backup option. There are 2 things in life which are certain, Birth and Death. All others are just a creation of chances and choices.We define our destiny, we follow different paths to reach our destination. Some follow straight line, some curve and some are trapped in circular lane. It's upto you which path you choose.
CAT is not even that path, it is just a stopover of your path, where you can rest, think how your forward journey is going to be, how much energy you require to reach your destination and so.
Even if CAT doesn't come your way, you will still reach your destination.
Remember Formula 1, many a time Pit Stop is to change your tyres, so that you can move faster in your race but it also happens that pit stop cause you to loose time and if you are not able to recover, you will always fall behind your competitor. But if your tyre is good and you are maneuvering better, you don't need a pit stop.
CAT is not an end to life. There are many things in life which are more important than CAT and you will know this once you go through all this. So, just relax and give your best in whatever you have prepared. Trust yourself to not get bogged down, not freeze, not lose cool and not give up in the exam hall.
Life is more than that. IIMs or MBA colleges produce Managers, Not Leaders. Leaders do not require an IIM degree, and those 2% from IIMs who become Leaders in true sense would have become so even without an IIM degree.
