In triangle ABC, D is the midpoint of side BC. DM and DM are perpendiculars on AB and AC respectively. DM = DN, then triangle ABC is....
a) right angled triangle
b)isosceles
c)equilateral

Now the solutions asks to solve with the help of similarity. How? Please help. Answer is isosceles.
The logic i used was that since perpendiculars drawn from the midpoint on both the sides are of equal length, i.e equal distance from midpoint, the triangle is isosceles. Is this logic correct?
