Need help

In sequesnce and series if we have values like

t1= 5

t2 =10

t3=17

t4=28

t5 =47

I cant exactly remind the formula to get the value of t . I know we can do it with the help of quadratic equation

Anybody here who can solve this with the help of quadratic equation

A woman divided the land she had among her four daughters. She gave 6 acres and 20% of the remaining land to the first daughter . 9 acres and 20% of the remaining to second daughter . 8 acre and 20% of the remaining to the third daughter and 16 acres to fourth daughter. Now she is left with no land .

Ans Given is 96 acres but i m getting 61 acres
