CAT Quantitative Aptitude | Quant Questions 2017- PaGaLGuY

Guys is there any verbal discussion thread where users are active like this group?

HI guys. I need some career advice.

I am a mechanical engineering graduate(2013) thinking of taking MBA entrance exams like MAT CAT this year. I have 2 years work ex in analytics based company and after that 3 years of gap as i got into the crowd of giving govt exams. Still trying my luck :) . But due to fear of being exhausted on age limit (currently 26yrs) and having no pg degree, I am thinkng to give MBA entrance exams which requires less amount of prep and can get me a 1 year pg course from any decent college like IIT or any other. I am not looking fwd to get myself into a 2 year course.

I have no prior exp in MBA entrance exams and my quant level ACCORDING to MBA exams is zero. If i tell my level of quant, english and reasoning, it is upto the level of what you prepare during ssc cgl exam or gate exam, if you have heard about them. But I am wanting to get a score in some mba exams so that it can be utilised somewhere in future, if i happen to enroll myself into a pg course. Plz guide what exams i should be giving and what will be best for me. Preparation, study material, entrance exams, colleges,etc.. Thanks!!! :)

How to solve this..

Consider a function f(x, n) such that f(x, n) = a(x – n)^2 + b(x – n) + c where a, b and c are constants and ‘n’ is a natural number. It is also given that the roots of the equation ax^2 + bx + c = 0 are 2 and 3.
Q1. If a > 0, then the value of ‘x’ at which f(x, 10) attains its minimum value is
(1) – 25 (2) – 12.5 (3) 25 (4) 12.5 (5) Cannot be determined

Q2. What are the roots of the equation c(x – 100)^2 + b(x – 100) + a = 0?
