An old lady engaged a domestic help on the condition that she would pay him Rs 90 and a gift after service of one year. He served only 9 months and received the gift along with Rs 65. Find the value of the gift.
I did it using an approach like:
In 3 months that he didn't work, he would have got Rs 25 extra.
So in 12 months he would be getting Rs 25*4 = Rs 100. But he is getting (acc to problem) only Rs 90. So value of gift is Rs 10. (OA)
Anyone knows the equation approach?
