Finally after all the college rejections that rocked me several times, I feel CAT 2016 is going to be the only way that can lead me to where I want!!!!!

A frog was hopping around a farmyard, when it decided to investigate the barn. Being somewhat careless, and maybe a little too curious, he ended up falling into a pail half-filled with fresh milk.

As he swam about attempting to reach the top of the pail, he found that the sides of the pail were too high and steep to reach. He tried to stretch his back legs to push off the bottom of the pail but found it too deep. But this frog was determined not to give up, and he continued to struggle.

He kicked and squirmed and kicked and squirmed, until at last, all his churning about in the milk had turned the milk into a big hunk of butter. The butter was now solid enough for him to climb onto and get out of the pail!

Never Give Up!!

a and b can complete work in 15 days. A, B and C complete the work in 4 days. If A and C together takes 2 more days than B and C. Then B completes the work in??

20 is not the answer....

If b increases his sped by 20% at Q and leaves at the normal time he would meet A at Z. If XZ=5KM find  distance QX.

Ayesha started running from one end of a straight road at 5:00 hrs. Bhumika on the other end of the road started running at 6:00 hrs and met Ayesha at point P on the same road. They continued running until they reached the opp ends and turned back immediately and again met at point P.If they met at point P for the first time at 7:00 hrs what is the ratio of speeds of Ayesha and Bhumika.

Given -pi/2 is less than equal to sin-1(x) is less than equal to pi/2

then tan (sin-1(x) ) must be equal to

  • x / (1-x^2)
  • x / sqrt(x^2-1)
  • x / sqrt(1-x^2)
  • None
  • x / (x^2-1)

A and B are stationed at 2 points P and Q along the same bank of straight stretch of a flowing river.the ratio of speeds of A and B  in still water is 2:3. when A and B swim from opp directions  from p and Q they meet at point 30mts from Q. If time taken by A to reach Q and B to reach P from their original position is same, find the distance between P and Q.
