"Ram and shyam start walking at 12 noon from points A and B respectively towards points B and A respectively t constant but different speeds. They meet at 4 PM. If Ram takes 6 hours more to reach pt B than the time taken by shyam to reach pt A , what time does shyam reach point A?" I could solve this by forming two equations which game me another quadratic equation in variable 'time'. But it was tedious and took me roughly more than 3 minutes. I want to know what method they have used to solve this question in like 1 or 2 steps. Is this any formula or something?
An escalator is moving downwards with the speed of 4 steps per minute. A person takes 6 minutes less to get down if he is coming down on the moving escalator as compared to when he comes down via the stationary escalator.
