Can anyone please tell me where in pune can I find the Schweser notes ? and the BA plus calculator ?
I think it would be better to buy it from mumbai only. it will be cheaper. calculator was cheaper in om book center than anywhere in bangalore. some of my friend bought calculator from ebay also. notes om book is cheapest. call laxmi and om book and find the best price. Pune i have no idea

Hi Vikas,
Thanks for your reply !! Do you have any contact no for these ...so that i can call them and check if they can courier me the material?
If anyone is interested in ebooks of schweser notes, PM me. Just mention your email in PM.
Just to add, this thread is just awesome if you want to gain information on CFA. First 30-40 pages are worth reading. You'll also get all details of book stores in Mumbai, Delhi & other places.
Anyone from Ahmedabad preparing for CFA or planning to pursue it soon? I am thinking it would be great if such like minded people like us can make a small group so we can have the benefits of sharing notes and experiences.
I am looking out for puyz who are interested in pursuing CFA. I have some notions I'd like to share with. And plus it would also benefit us to have someone on our side, so at least we won't think we are alone
Hello everyone. I am a Mechanical engineer by qualification. I am not working anywhere currently but will start working this June. I have basic knowledge of finance, financial terms and markets mainly through wikipedia and newspapers.
I have registered for L1 December 2012 exams and studying in full flow. I have finished reading Book 2(Economics) Schweser once and will have just begun with Book 2(Financial reporting). I plan to finish with the Schwesers till the end of June. After that, CFA institute E-books, classroom videos and review material.
As I have registered for the December exam, I am rather keen on giving on L2 June 2013 itself.
So I thought I might start studying for CFA L2 while studying for L1 exams and cover a small chunk of my syllabus. Are there any sections in L2 which are mere extensions from L1? Does it sound doable or am I going overboard?
Also, Can I register for L2 before passing L1.(i.e. can I register for L2 before the first deadline without L1 qualification.) what if I register for L2 and do not clear L1?? What will be the next course of action??
i want to do international cfa, and looking forward to december exam and i am living in indore.. my problem is that from where i should take cfa coaching i am very confused, please help, or i should prepare by my self, my backround is engineering.
i found some institutes at my city providing cfa coaching classes, but there are only 3 institutes and the no. of students in indore those are opting cfa are very very less.
shifting to another city is not a problem
also tell me how much important is the coaching, do i need the best coaching center, do i need to shift to another city...or i can do it from anywhere...please help...

self preparation is definitely possible .. you can buy notes for prep ..
Without knowing your profile , no one can comment on your prospects to join IB 😐
