Hi All,
I have helped several students with their CFA Level 1, 2, 3 preparations.
I am based in Mumbai and have provided personal coaching to several candidates.
I have got the CD's of CFA videos of Schweser. However, there is some run-time problem every time I am double-clicking on the menu icon. Did any body in this group face the same issue? This is kind of irritating after all the wait you do to get access to the complete videos . Any help puys ?

1) A. Dividends received from available-for-sale securities.
2) B . Interest expense on subordinated debentures.
3) C. Accruing bad debt expense for goods sold on credit. Skip

@targeted The dividend received is definitely not part of operations, so eliminated. Operating items are items above EBIT in an income statement. The interest expense is reported below EBIT so that is ruled out. The answer is C. Now coming to why C is an operating activity, The sales are part of operating activity. The bad debt is like reversal of sale. Since sale is above EBIT the bad debt expense are operating item. Also if you notice in an income statement 'The provision for bad debt' will be reported as part of operating expenses.
