I am planning to give June 2013 CFA Level I exam. I am in Bangalore. Is there any Bangalore students group?

I want Videos of Finstructor/Prestine? Can I get it online?

i have Schweser notes and they appear very concise as compared to the huge CFA books given by CFA institute. does schweser cover evrything???

Schweser cover everything.
It should be fine, you would only need to look into institute books to solve questions or if need arise coz u do not understand something from schweser

Hey Guys..please give me some guidance how to start preparing for CFA level-1. Which subjects do I need to focus most? What should be the time distribution for each subject? I haven't started my preparations yet.

@esprit I have cleared Level I. Will sit for level II this June. Schweser is more thn enough. You don't need to go through institute books until and unless you don't understand a topic or concept. However study ethics from institute books.

You need to focus on every topic and complete every thing. However major topics would be ethics, financial analysis and reporting, quants and tvm.these have high weightage. Then come equity and fixed income derivatives. However alternative investments carry least weightage.

@kushalagg I have read your post. Do I need to take coaching for CFA level-1? Isn't self-study sufficient?

Well it depends on you. If you are able to take in the concepts and understand well then self study is sufficient. Otherwise go for classes.

I have started with CFAI notes. Yet to get Schweser. Can we get good quality Schweser notes in Bangalore?
