Hey, Is it a good idea to start Ethics from Schweser notes? Or should I wait for curriculum?

you should start ethics later as it is theoretical....start with financial analytics which i had been advised by seniors

Just as TONYMBA said start with ethics later on. Usually people advise to do it at last after everything else. And yes you should refer institute curriculum for ethics. Help u in superlative performance.
@TONYMBA I will start FRA but want to give 1 hour daily for Ethics too..as it holds a greater weightage..

That may help but again 1 devoting an hour is a lot considering you aRe also doing MBA

Hi Guys,
I'm going to start preparing for CFA Level 1 from this week(still haven't registered for the test.) I've just ordered Schweser Notes which I'll get by the end of the week. Just wanted to ask some of the puys whether 4 and a half months is enough for preparation(this is my main apprehension..which is why I haven't registered yet).
I'm a fresh engg grad(2012 passout) so I have no prior knowledge of any finance subjects. I'm currently working for a consulting firm in Gurgaon. I plan to devote 1-2hrs everyday during the weekdays and about 5-6 hrs each on sat and sun. I do not plan to take any coaching for CFA.
Will this study routine be sufficient for me to have a good shot at clearing CFA Level 1? I know this is a very subjective question as it really depends on how well and how quickly I can grasp the subjects, but any advice from experienced puys will be highly appreciated so that I can understand just how much preparation time it takes in general for a person to crack the exam!
Thanks!

Better to do first reading of Ethics from CFAI Curr. Later if you want more practice - you can refer Schweser or other QB also.

Most of us have started preparing now..Even I haven't registered yet..just got my notes 2 days back...So you can start preparing now..Give 2-3 hours on weekdays and 5-6 hours on weekends..It would be sufficient..and in April and May try to give more time...

Schweser notes should consist atleast of
Notes - 5 books
Practice Papers - 2 books
QB - 1 CD
