Done with the first study session of Corporate Finance. I have been making notes of my own, that's slowed me down. Will skip that step for next few SSs.

I am in US and will be coming to Delhi for about 3 weeks.. I guess it will not be possible for me to join a regular batch..

I just counted. I have 'read' 10 Study Sessions. Don't ask how much I remember. 8 more to go, and I have started getting exam nightmares....the kind most of us share....not able to finish exam on time or not knowing the material!
What about you guys...how's the prep going?
I have one clarification regarding one of the question in CFA Text:
Question 14 (Page 582 CFA L2 Text, Volume 6)
The question refers to following quote:
"The SML is the equation that specifies the required/expected return for a security that is implied by the CML when the market is in equilibrium."
My understanding is that even in equilibrium (i.e. when markets are efficient), unsystematic error still remains and SML and CML equation may not be equal. But answer to this question states that the above statement is correct? any comments?

RPRASHANT - On an average I have assigned 1 week per SS. So I guess, I am in same situation as you are. To make sure I dont forgot the stuff I have read, I tend to revise SS once I complete 2-3 SS....I hope this helps.

Proxy voting is voting in place of someone. The person voting instead is the proxy voter. Am i right people?

Say, you are a manager of some kind of fund, and you are looking after investment decisions of people. Now those people have granted you the right to take decisions on their behalf including voting. Voting would mean that if the companies you have invested in, ask for your vote on an important manner, you being the representative of shareholders, would give your opinion, by casting vote.
In terms of CFA Ethics, it's important, because you need to vote sensibly, and not just because you have been asked to. Secondly, if the voting result would have financial implications for your clients then it becomes even more important for a CFA to use his/her brains. Thirdly, since voting is usually a lengthy process, managers tend to avoid it...so don't do that. Fourthly, may be because of workload, etc. you might not want to spend your resources on voting on all the issues, so disclose your voting policies to your clients(under what conditions you will take extra precautions, due diligence, care, prudence, blah-blah, when it comes to voting)

Gr8 going man. I am heading to ISB so dont know how will i manage both. Anyways before going my target is to finish reading sessions 9-18 and 1-2. Can finish 5-7 in no time. So my challenge will be 3&4 and 8&9.
