Hi puys,Something interesting to share Today i met a Retd. assistant Comm of Excise in a party of a family friend who happens to be her relative. As soon as i told her that i may be getting central excise insp post (Score 380 T1+T2 Options- ITI, Ex Insp, Aeo,Css... States- Delhi, Up, Gujarat +3) she congratuled me and said that i have a bright future. I asked her that i have heard that there is scarcity in promotions in this post. She said- yes, u will reach to superintendent definitely but asst comm is luck by chance, she got there just a couple of years before retirement. I said in that case i will try for iti this year, now suddenly she kindled and told me that u will earn better in excise and not much money is left in income tax nowadays and comparatively only promotions are faster. I was shocked as i didnt expected a person of that stature to openly talk of corruption with an aspirant not even her son's age. My mother then intervened and told her not to let him (me) focus on such things at the inception of his career. She just laughed at this and just said that he will do good, i didnt dared to ask/say anything more in front of my mother. Now 1 interesting point came to my mind. As seniors say that all india transfers will take place only after getting asst comm post and upto then transfers will be only in the zone of your posting or within the state at max. Now the golden thought---- That means if i get insp cent excise in my home state and luckily a zone near my home town then due to tainted transfers in central excise i will be near my home for almost all of the service years, which i would cherish (some other aspirants also want proximity to home desperately).
