It is irrelevent how many assistants does a Postal inspector get... Deptt of Posts itself is the worst deptt. under GoI..... DoT ki jo halat hue thi or jo ab telecom psus ki ho rahi hai yehi posts ki hogi.... Govt. ka kaam country ka administration run karna hota hai na ki business karna .... chitthiyan or phone walon ko koun poochta hai jab yehi kaam pvt companies more efficiently kar sakti hain ....... Laptop/ internet... hahaha...... ye to kodion ke bhaav mil jaate hain aaj kal..... why mislead newbies by portraying such a rosy picture of these useless remnants of socialism ... i lived in P&T; coloney for an year four years back .... so i guess, i know better..... and I know how many intellegent guys got their careers ruined by these useless deptts

go through the website of zonal excise offices...u wud find many docs and letters circulating around regarding bringing up excise equal to level of other inspetor posts in cbdt and cbec . dere have been discussions also regarding this in the previous pages of this thread . Blame it on red tapism ....it is gonna take time before anythng gets implemented

@sumit_rai64 post is final & state is also final unless you manage to find someone in your own service selected in another state willing to trade places with you & this switch is approved by your service department.for some posts there is no fixed state(like CBI) & for some services there is only 1 state(like CSS in Delhi) or fixed cities(like prevention officer).
