what they want is just the promotion to be on par with ITI
and to be precise minimum of 4 promotion

@nehasharma89 GSt is a blanket tax which will replace all VAt-sales tax.. etc etc.. loads of thing it will cover.. Cenvat bhi uske bich mein aayaegaa.. its like 1 country 1 tax.. 16 % hoga shayad.. 20% shayad.. it will streamline taxation thing and center will be the implementation body.. stat excise ka whole role will come under centre except alcohol thing and some stamp duties.. centre will be the ultimate goverinng body.. it will help central excise as now we will have restructuring of our dept like ITI and we will have more role to play in indirect taxes which were earlier cub by multiple stake holders..

in short we will also reach additional commissioner like ITI..due to restructuring and more work opportunities due to streamlining of indirect taxes like direct taxes... pls aur kuch mat puchna.. maine patah nai kya kya likh diya hae

do ASSISTANTS IN CSS also get a minimum of 4 promotions..i.e would an ASSISTANT retire as a DIRECTOR for sure???

  2. Section Officer (Group B Gazetted). To become SO, you have to pass departmental test, conducted by UPSC. If you don €™t pass exam, you get promotion very late (after 10-12 years).
  3. Under Secretary
  4. Deputy Secretary
  5. Joint Secretary.

@sagrma bro actually GST is not being implemented for just promotions... the reason is companies have to pay long range of taxes.. like service tax,sales tax.. bla bla... woh sab udaa kae 1 tax will be used called GOODS and SERVICES tax... many european countries have this... this will minimise tax evasion... and will ensure better revenues.. as centre will be the governing bosy.. we willl have more say in taxations now..

ab poochne ke liye raha hi kya..GST poora khol diya yahan....UPSC ki tayyari maane zoro shoro se chal rahi hai?...:P
