hi buddy!! I am also selected for the same. People are saying that we'll have to wait for at least six months before we get to join. last year's cadre got the joining only around november. so it'd be september for us by that standards though i feel it can be as early as June.

@sk.jadon Central excise.. i hv heard people saying that promotion is very slow in cex bt in da also u get only three promotions da.. dao gr i, dao gr ii and last one sr dao but even after one gets promotion his power never increases. I think auditor is better than da even though it is low grade post than da bcoz an auditor can appear for sas exam after three years of service after which he becomes aao which is gazetted post. After that promotion is aao, ao, sr. ao, dag, sr, dag. You can compare sr. Dao stands nowhere as compared to powers of sr dag. when i was da in 2008 there was case pending in court that da should also be allowed to appear for sas exam. I dont know the present situation. One thing more da has to send monthly report to ag office which is checked by accountant whose post is equivalent to auditor. Da has also to face political pressure as govt contractors have political links who want to get bills passed at the earliest.

kya bakwas hae yaar.. yeh toh... galat baat hae.... abhi u call assistant director exam.. ask him wht can be done... call in the morning.. of your regional area where u gave the exam
@ajay.hgr DA Earns good... better better than auditor.. he is accountable to only executive enggineer etc. (EXEN)... even superintendent does have any authority over him..his job is a decent one..
