ABCD is a trapezium with AB parallel to CD. AC is perpendicular to BC and BD is perpendicular to AD. If AD=BC=15cm and AB=25cm , find the area of the trapezium ABCD.

Somebody explain this also

Ans 192

yr D se 1 perpendicular darw karo AB tak......
Now 1/2*AD*DB = 1/2*AB*DM
u will get DM = 12, then by pythagorus find AM = 9
Now area of trapezium = area of ADB + area of BCD
= 150 + 1/2*DC*12 =192.....
@rahulshaitan :

1) e
2) a
3) a
4) 16 2/3

Direct to Indirect speech
I said to him, €˜Were you present at the meeting yesterday? €™

@JS-M said: What will be the least number of complete years in which a sum of money put on 20% compound interest will be more than double of itself??
72/20= 3.6 hence 4yrs ???

I asked him if he was present in the meeting yesterday ??
A sum when placed at compound interest doubles itself in 3 yr. In how many years will it be amount to six times of itself?

My take
I asked him if he had been present at the meeting the day before.
Is this right?

How did u find the "in triangle ABD using formula for cos we can find angle BAD".I mean how did u find
yaar triangle ABD is a right angled triangle so we can use the formula for cos i.e base/hypotenuse

@Brooklyn
Dude, change yesterday to the day before

@sscjindabad : std method !! to find the tym in which amt doubles :

72/r where r is in %age n 1 condition:

r>5%

What angle did u get n how???

doubles in 3 hence will become 4 times in 6 yrz. Now 4*2=8 n 4*1/2= 2

so we need 6 hence in 1.5 yr more it will be 6 times,

hence ans= 7.5 yr ???

Plz explain using formula...i e amount(A)=P(1+r/100)^n

For Trigonometry sharing the links I found useful :

http://www.analyzemath.com/trigonometry/trigonometric_formulas.html ... Trigo formulas

http://www.trigonometry-help.net/basictrigonometry.php .... have various links ... check as per your requirement

Also attaching the pdf files for the formulas... may not be all relevant for SSC level, but knowing it will certainly help save time...

Yes yar.. the same formula.. nothing new..
after solving u'l get
2 = (6/5)^n
need to find the n but no direct method
u need to multily 6/5 4 times with itself to get the ans more than 2 as the question demands.
So the ans = 4yrs
