auditor is a central govt job while PO is a public sector enterprise. Disinvestment nahi hoti VG deptt ki like banks. In banks after 10-12 years nearly all banks would adopt private culture and work pressure.abhi bhi kaun sa kam hai waise.
If u want goood promotion and have confidence in yourself and of course on your work environment you would definitely earn more in Bank but if you want more money per hour auditor beats it big time. As an auditor you can hav perfect work life balance not possible in banks.
Starting salaryfrom oct would be 23400 in hand at metros.
Transfers nearly nill. so no frequent transfers like Banks.
all in all better if you want to enjoy ur life and have future plans like studying for UPSC/SSC int. job leave the job. I know many guys who were POs and have left their jobs for auditors.
Take your pick good money with high pressure, OK money with less pressure. Promotions are time bound not like banks
