Abhi bahut time hai 2013 ke liye. You should get into reading english books right now, nothing else. That would help you a LOT. 3 months are more than enough for everything else right before pre exam.

@secretworld thx bhai bt i din get u clearly.... Will i get call for both intw as well as DEST? bcz at 260 HH category intw call toh pakka hai..Or it depends on me whether to go for intw or DEST? pls advice

Bhai, I am 2011 passout.
I got placed from campus itself and was under the influence that I will to something great in corporate world, but when i joined this illuminated world and came to find out that my personal life has been completely screwed and to add to it now I have fucking lot of tensions, which noticeably are taking a toll on my health(visibly hair fall!!
).
).But, now i have decided to give ssc-13 with my full effort and hopefully extract something out of it and since i am in a position ki i cant leave my job unless i am fired(you can understand parent's point of view regarding this), I am inquiring about books from fellow puys.
Well, I surely know about the exponentially increasing competition in these exams, but i am more intended to increase to my knowledge base and speed rather than worrying about the people.
By the way, how much are you scoring brother?

go for int after that give dest n CPT if you want to go for CSS assistant else its ur wish DEST would endure that god forbid if you don't make into int you would at least get TA

DEST is compulsory for TA and CSS assistant

My points on preparation...as you are already an engr so you need to focus on GK and English more...
Eng : start with wren n martin (though I found boring... but have to read patiently)...mainly active passive and Direct n Indirect Excercises take help from keys (book is available) after solving honestly... for vocab Follow Barron ..buy the book itself or here's the link

books for GK : made easy publication general studies, Lucent GK or Tarun Goyal's GK by Arihant ...either of them...can keep Prearson GK manual as you have suff time from now....
Actually the GK is the most neglected part it requires sufficient time to make it strong but most of us are lazy... but if worked upon can easily get good command over it from CGL's view since SSC hardly asks current affairs.... though 3 months before going for exams start doing with PD... regular Newspaper reading is of course required.... also go thru all levels SSC papers for GK
... it is to be noted easy 40 marks can be scored thru GK in 10-15 mnts only in t1..if one have good command
Reasoning : RS Aggarwal or any other practice book will do... try being selective as RSA is humongous... Reasoning normally is an easy pick in CGL as compared to other exams... what i feel
Maths : Will recommend just two books RS Aggarwal's QA and M Tyra's Quicker Maths.... yes for topics Trigonometry n Geometry one should take CDS Pathfinder by Arihant... refer the NCERT Books from 9 to 11 also for basic concepts and theorems
