guys plz help me...i am an electrical engineer from an NIT.i am a pass out of 2008..did job in power sector for 1 year and then left it for civil services..in these 3 years..i reached interviews in both of my attempts so far but cud not figure in the merit list..now my 3rd attempt is going on and i also have to appear for interviews in ssc...i want CSS bcz of the certainity of staying in delhi..my score is 369....should i 1)tell the truth in interview..or 2)a half truth like ..:my attempts are exhausted.."...or 3)plain lie that i was preparing for SSC!!!(which seems a bit weird as one wud not invest 3 yrs to prepare for this exam..)....plz help guys...
Hi Friends,I want some suggestions from you. Please guide me further on ssc track.....currently i am working in a reputed MNC and gave the cgl exam for the first time in 2012..... i got 343 (T1+T2)....I want to settle in delhi or NCR and i will give cgl 2013. I want your expert comments on how to proceed for my preparation. I should join some institute or some good books can help me out.Will be grateful for your responses...
Hey i would sauggest you to join some test series only and no caoching as they are just going to waste your time. If you are of general category then you have missed it by just 6 marks and yoiu can score quite well.... If you have some CAT material that will be of iommense help for you.
brother...if i tell the panel that i hv attempts left...dnt u think that they wud b averse to giving me good marks as it wud mean that i may leave this job at sm later time..?
I had got a job in bsnl, but with the apathy I felt over there led me to resign as their policies were not allowing me to fulfill my personal responsibilities and moreover I couldn't derive the satisfaction I was expecting from that job. After that I targeted the Govt examinations as these jobs nt only provide me adequate exposure, but also are better in long term to maintain my social esteem, power and also allow me to fulfill my personal obligations. Although I was not so lucky in cracking the examination to get a good job, thus I decided to engage in my own property business/real estate as I was able to utilize my inherent traits (elucidate with ex. like making relationships, arbitration) better. But still in a corner of my heart there is a feeling that makes me crave for that coveted job in Govt. institution aise bta dena bhai ghuma fira ke
must say i felt like i was at a b-school, you can tell that this was written by an MBA from a good college. i believe that is all you learn in an mba, how to take a bad picture and present it as a masterpiece. (i mean it as a complement, no offence) very well written!
and does the fact that one has appeared in upsc interview if disclosed in ssc interview,puts the candidate concerned in good light or poor light?...somehow i feel that telling plain truth may go against me...and going for a second option i.e telling them that my attempts are over,wud b a safer option...what do u think brother?

no u wud be joining central govt only the reason u gave doesn't hold as such

i told them a similar thing in RBI interview and im still selected.
i think if you tell them that you are preparing for IAS then they automatically take you as a dedicated and able person and think that you must have a good deal of knowledge by now. and everyone knows that luck is a major factor in getting selected for IAS. So most chances are you will continue with the job and do good work, even if you join ias they can boast that people from their department join ias, so they have nothing to loose unlike a pvt company that might see you as personal resources wasted. So i think atleast in govt. interview there is no harm in telling the truth. of course you have to convince them that you have done the hard work of preparing earlier and now you dont need to spend a lot of time on it, you will just keep in touch and hope that luck favours you this time. :)

are join any test series. Only thing you must be continuos as I was also wrking in MNC earlier and people generally used to get casual and make mistake . Just be focused. and you will get it. Otherwise SSC is not really a tough niut to crack
