Thats becoz people are unaware about it n they think that lucrative posts are that of inspectors oblivious of the fact that transparency has increased manifolds n being in traps of vigilance agencies will spoil not only the peace in their lyf but cost them their entire career...Many later switch to assistant post after experience the treatment doled out to people at the inspector level which is a subordiante cadre..

its not like that..it is just that different candidates hv different reasons to apply for different posts...in css one will always b in delhi so ppl who want to b in delhi generally keep it as their top choice..and there are other posts like income tax inspector,examiner, excise inspector which are generally considered to b highly lucrative posts..so ppl who r looking for good income from job keep it at higher preferences..but its cutoff also goes a bit higher...

I have OBC certificate which is not in SSC format and has been made about three months back. Will they accept it at the time of document verification or will pose some issue?

you will not be considered post in obc cota I suggest you to get it as possible as you can

@viv5 Friend, there is nothing like SSC format...it is central government format. It should be in the Central government format only and no other format of OBC certificate will be accepted.
