CGL 2012 Tier 2 Preparations and Results

@micky1988 surprisingly they did not ask me this question...but because i had mentioned it in my biodata form...thats y i think they took the level of interview a notch higher and asked me few analytical questions on international issues and on issues like importance of honesty,integrity in public life....etc..
@Wishfulthinkin almost 20 mins.. 3 ppl in panel.. 2 ladies 1 male
@ankit0102 70% of them

@suzu12345 hey.. dont wry.. if u cant answer.. they switch to another topic, i was answering all this so they asked, I could not answer about masterslave, actually i got confused in forbidden state and masterslave, then they switched to other topic.. mu native state and that was pretty easy to answer.. They did not ask much of current affairs to me (however I was ready for it) as my technical interview had taken long time...

plz read abt syria, palestine and egypt.. they did not ask any question to me but to other ppl they were askin these questions..thats why i hv mentioned abt these topics in my previous post..

I faced only one question abt lobbying by walmart for FDI..

@i2wantu thank you... u r the saviour..

in the 15th entry of ur biodata form u are asked.."what have u been doing since u completed ur studies?.."i mentioned that after graduation i did job for a yr and than left it to prepare for civil services examination....
i did not mention anything else..i thought when they wud ask me abt my attempts and my future plans then i wud respond accordingly...but they didn't ask eventually...

@ankit0102 cant say abt all the interviewrs.. but only 1 very old lady in late 70's or early 80's was aking all these tech questions.. she must be a techy.. and of course one is not provided panel accgnd to one's qualification.. coincidence can happen hwever..

Plz dont loose heart.. its their job.. they hv been taking interviews for last 20-30-40 yrs.. no big deal that they know all this.. same is not expected of us.. we hv to cover a lot in short span..

if u dont know.. politely say that u dont know.. I told many times that i did nt know.. thay smiled and said.. thats okay and asked smthing else..

done wid interview..
Chennai-9am
Panel consisted of 3 members (2 male and 1 female)
After documents checking, interview startd and d senior most person made me very comfortable.After seeing my biodata form, he told me about the job profile and said it won't suit me and it will be waste of my talent if i join. I countered this that why i want to come in govt sector but he kept on tellng about the problems i may face and i should be mentally prepared for all the politics during job..

Male 2- What do i do in job?Differnce b/w CSE and IT?My fav subject in graduation which i still remember.I told Java..What is multithreading?

Lady- How is the time saved in multithreading when we have only 1 CPU?

Thats it, i hardly spoke for 5mins in 15mins interview..Most of the time i was being told what difficulties i'll face after joining..

wat exactly the panelist told you abt the difficulties & politics in govt job???
& wat repply you gave to them to counter this???
Also which particular job profile he explained to u???
@ankit0102 i had decided beforehand that if i was asked this question, i wud answer honestly that in future i wud certainly appear in civil services exam as my dream is to serve the govt. and people in my capacity as an IAS/IPS, which would provide me a wider canvas and a diversity of challenges (with commensurate authority and responsibility) to deal with in the process...but given the fact that competition for these hallowed services is so high, i wanted to ensure that i realise my primary dream of a reputable and dignified govt. job first, which services like assistant and inspectors indeed are....and then take a shot at the toughest exam in the town...
@micky1988 difficulties like transfer, less salary as compared to private sector, rude behaviour of ur seniors, casteism, groupism etc..I dint counter ds as he was giving it as more kind of advice and dint askd my opinion..I only told dat a govt job and serving my people has been my dream and small hurdles are everywhere.

No particular profile he xplained to me,he was talking in general what govt employees face in daily routine..

Hi what should we fill in the "name of the post" field in biodata form for interview?

should we fill only from the list of jobs we applied for according to preference? or can we fill anything we want including the ones we didnt apply ? please reply what to fill for that field
