CGL 2012 Tier 2 Preparations and Results

hi guys, here is my interview experience.
Date 21/12/12

Time 9 am

Group A

New Delhi

I am from Rajasthan.

I'm an electronics and comm. engineer having 16 months work ex in IT company.

Following questions were asked >>

Why you want to leave your current job?

Define communication and its different modes and mediums.

Difference between print media and electronic media.

Explain Greenhouse effect.

Explain Ozone layer depletion.

What is BRAINSTORMING? What are brainstorming sessions?

How NGOs are funded?

Population of Rajasthan.

Why Rajasthan is not densely populated?

Problems prevailing in Rajasthan and reasons for the same.

Difference between 'Sati' and 'Johar'.

What is CSR?

What is ethics?

Difference between tax avoidance and tax evasion.

Difference between free trade and fair trade.

The interview went for around 15 min and I was able to answer most of the questions.

@micky1988 my hobbies were a bit on a technical side, may be that's why they did not ask. they asked questions related to my previous company and work experience.

I think u will easily get 60 or evn more.
wat's ur score (Tier 1 + Tier 2)

the response was good from the panel so lets hope for the best. :)

my score is 371 (tier1 + tier2) general cat.

preference in 5-6 northern states for the posts >>
examiner>iti>aeo>excise>assts.>and so on.

@micky1988 personal dissatisfaction due to lack of public relations, authority, and command in the current job.

Can somebody please tell me, which post get joining at the earliest and when???

At least share ur experiences of CGL 2011 joining............

Also tell about the post whose joining is slowest...........

can anybody tell me what to wear in the interview in delhi considering its too much cold these dayz in north india..

is formal pant and shirt is fine as of now..

i know a friend who was offered joining in auditor CAG in November.

its fine, i wore a pant and shirt too. if its too cold you can wear sweater or blazer, but its upto you.

i dont know personally but most people say its okay to hide and doesnt cause any problems.

Depends on the region whr u get the posting

for eg. some excise ppl joined in june itself (Northern region)
While some Income tax ppl joined in November ( western region , laziest of all)
