@secretworld @sk.jadon some querries.. how often does the trasfers take place in excise and income-tax? like after how many years.. do they transfer you to some other zone? which is the best post that offers a posting in a decent city with least transfers? and do they ask your preference during a trasfer?
excise me intra commissionerate transfer hte rhte hain 4-5years me. yani us commissionerate ki ranges me hi transfer hga. after AC u can be sent anywere in india but rarely log pahunchte hain aur jo pahunchte hain wo retirement pe hte hain to unhe nhi bhejte, koi jaldi bn gya to AC k baad all india service liability hai
IT me bhi intra commissionerate ho skte hain but after AC inter commisioneratte hoga. wo zone bhi chnge ho skta ai

no they don't ask preference u wud be sent as per requirement, haan jack chlta hai

gen a port comes under 1 commissionerate so there is hardly any chance to get transfer over there. If 1 commissionerate controls more than 1 port then may be but i doubt there is any. after they become AC they cud be transferred anywhere.
In examiner promotions are fast and you can become AC in 12-14 years easily. In PO its slghtly long around 20+ years atleast.
