@rattle i want to tell u that my immediate neighbour is bank manager earning 1.10 lakhs per month. THis is his official salary.. he joined as clerk and now has been promoted. he is in his 25th year of service.. i saw ur example of a friend of urs thinking of opeing a cloth shop. 1.10 lakh is more nearly equal to PM pay...

your rank in obc is around 820 ...considering huge vacancies 1350 in obc cat this year ,a decent performance in interview of 50 marks can fetch u interv post .atb

yes i totally agree with u , but 25 years is too long ...recently a fresher from nit (allahbad) joined at a package of 16 lac in standard chartered bank > pm salary , that clearly show the pathetic condition in govt sector . is this person more educated , talented n have powerful than pm ,,why this is disparity when it comes to earnings this certainly leads to inferiority complex in a person and forced him to move in different directions.

@rattle yes that is true that private sector pays killing money.. but the work level is killing too.. It really depends upon what type of job we want.. Money is only in private sector..but job is hard there..last month there was a news in airport authority of india.. where the head who is an ias was being paid 1 lakh and his junior was being paid 16 lakhs per month, salary is below average in govt sectors.. but only when compared to private sec. Though 1lakh per month is a good money..

yes the work pressure is always there in pvt firm , but an increment in govt salary is the need of hour not as much as in pvt sector but even half of what they get will do a lot of good to their morale . inspite disscusing the pay lets hope each one of us get interv post this year .
