Hey guys, how are posts assigned for final selection? Consider below scenario -

Person A with 500 overall marks.
Post preference - Examiner > AEO > ITI > CBI.
State preference - All available states selected for the above posts.

Person B with 490 overall marks
Post preference -CBI only
State preference - All the available states

Now, hypothetical cutoffs for all the states -
Examiner - 520
AEO - 515
ITI - 505
CBI - 485

My question is, both A and B have cleared CBI cutoff. Person A have failed to clear Examiner,AEO and ITI cutoff. My question is - who would be allotted a CBI seat in this scenario? Person A with CBI as 4th preference with higher marks or person B with CBI as 1st preference with lower marks?

person A with higher marks will get the post first thenperson with lower marks will get.

If posts are left, then one will be considered for the posts left in their given preferred states.

P.S. Not sure about this. But its seems logical from Chief's tweets.
