@sagrma I'am too working in Infy for the past 1.5 yrs. Was in the same quandry as that of your's. But would be leaving Infosys anyway this year for a Group B post. I'm from Rajasthan and posted in Chennai so nothing is in my favour here. If IIMs are your only aim than you can give it a shot this year, else there are many options open otherwise also, you can go for an exec. MBA after 3-4 yr. of work-ex in govt. sector. waise you are in which DC?

@sagrma @harshlax I am also in same position. I have an experience of 1.5 years in Tata ElXSI. My main aim is MBA from IIMs or similar insituitions? Will it be good ifi am joining this? Excise is the interview post which I am having chance
@vicksrocks because most of the reputed MBA colleges require atleast 4-5 yrs. of work-ex. And since most of the applicants applying for an Ex.MBA are IT professionals, those who are from Govt. or other sectors get a good chance coz of diversity. Main reason for doing it is that it opens new avenues for you. You can switch back to private sector after an MBA or can apply for other managerial posts in Govt. sector also.
