yes paper is of 2hrs and 50 questions maths and 100 ques eng
I only foun d one book and ie from arihant publication and its a nice book.

Apart from reading good book ,try solving model test paper(Arihant pub,Kiran pub) in set time to improve your accuracy and speed.ATB

if (x-2a)(x-5a)(x-8a)(x-11a)+ka^4 is a perfect square then find out the value of k.

options are

a) 81

b) 49

c) 64

Should be 81..

Given, (x-2a)(x-5a)(x-8a)(x-11a) + ka^4 = y^2..

Now, Rearranging, (x-2a)(x-11a)(x-5a)(x-8a) = y^2 - ka^4

=>(x^2 -x*13a + 22a^2)(x^2 - x*13a + 40a^2 )= (y - _/k*a^2)(y + _/k*a^2)

Thus, y - _/k*a^2 = x^2 - 13a*x + 40a^2...(i)

And, y + _/k*a^2 = x^2 - 13a*x + 22 a^2...(ii)

Solving (i) n (ii), we have y = 31a^2..n k =81..
