in fci technical seats is more than gen and depo. they hve qualified only 12000 in techinal and 32000 in gen depo why. kya maazra hey ye sab.

i have some query regarding FCI. please provide ans if anyone knows:


1) in-hand salary in FCI?
2) bond and probation period?
3) type of work?
4) In typing if someone not able to type 400 words in 15 min. he will be considered or rejected.
5) Do we correct the wrong words during typing if typed wrongly?

Done with my CPT today. Venue - Banglore.

Contrary to my expectations - Done well in Typing, Failed in Excel.
Typing : As mentioned in Admit card, u need to type 2000 key depressions in 15 min. U can correct it wen ever u want by backspace. Typing matter will be given in a paper (i got like 5 passages, one fullside of A4 sheet). My speed is 25-28 wpm as per 'typing master pro'. And i'm able to complete to type the whole passage in 15 min of time, although with some mistakes.
Careful with - spacing and TABs. We were told to exactly to reproduce what is there in the sheet. In the start of every new passage, there is 1/2 TAB space. I failed to observe that. Its done on software, which gets automatically disabled after 15 min. So, no extra time.

Excel - Exactly like the PDF which is circulated in PG, 5*5 table data, with use of wordwrap, centre⊤ alignment, Header&footer;, cell merge..etc.
our morning batch guys were asked with just addition and multiplication ...due to my badluck we were asked sum,avg and percentage. I couldn't do whole the percentage part. & one more blunder i committed ..i used system's calculator to manually calculate percentage, as i underestimated SSC. During our exam, in our system there will be an application running on which notes down our application usage in an notepad file. Invigilator at the end of exam, copies typing file and excel file along with that activity file in to their server. So, my advise is - do not use manual methods for calculation in excel. I felt little tensed while doing excel. hence messed up. Try to get the system which is little away from the invigilators gaze, so that u may spend little more time than 15min in excel.

B4 this all..certificate verification is done. Along with engineering degree certificate, take 4-2 sem marks sheet also.

One more thing...there were many Ex-Service men in the CPT Candidates.

Hi Everyone


I am from NR and my CPT test is on 9 Nov.
My question are from the candidates who has given the test:
1) Which office software they are using right now.(2003, 2007, 10)
2) I got to know that we can correct using backspace. If we can use backspace, it mean we can use also auto correct feature, what to do then
But in word processing test , whether we need some kind of formatting,(fonts, colors, are easy thing) inserting table, picture etc??
3) In excel test, max. of what they can ask, i mean, I think i am avg. user of excel, whether i will be able to clear it.

Guys ek question hai....maine apna degree certificate liya nahi hai abhi tak college se.....i have all the marksheets and the provisional certificate...will dat do or do i have to travel again...:(
