What is interview weightage
Can someone clarify on the process of arriving at the final selection list.
Will they consider a total marks of 200 (written) + 10 (interview) OR
Written marks will be adjusted to read out of 90 and then 10 marks of interview to be added ??
The notice on interview marks weightage is very ambiguous .
Also are there any waitlist that are published in CIL after publishing the 1st list of selected candidates ?
8th August, Kolkata. EE. 12 30 slot. Reached at 12 pm. Straight away to document verification. They provided sum check list which we had to fill up. They took undertaking as I didnt have NOC. Waited for 1 hr to face the panel. Interview: Some initial friendly chit chat like there is a famous person in your name, Have u seen any mine, have u watched kala patthar, who was the actor etc etc. Then sum typical hr question like why are u leaving ur current company, where r u posted, will you be able to work in mine, what are the operations of cil, what do you know about CIL, what are the criteria for constructing open cast and ug mines etc.. Now lets come to technical, No fav sub, no question from work ex, project nothing.. The very first question was state the values of mu for para, fero, dia magnetic material.. My entire techinal intrvw revolved around those and other topics of EE materials.. My suggestion: brush up each and every topic of your 4 yrs of study.. dont dig deep..only basics will do.. It's my request to all those who are yet to attend electrical interview to inquire few details from the interview co ordinator. Like in hyd centre a total of 109/700 have been called out of which only 45 attended on 8th and 9th. Hyd interviews are only on 3 days-8,9 and 10. Also regarding 2nd list.

m: if am posted in andhra then i'll be the most lucky person, orelse anyways ill be serving pan india

Interview ques: Tell me about yourself, why cil, can you name all the subsidiaries, difference between opencast and underground mining, ever been to a mine, different types of losses in transformer and how to measure them, more details about eddy current losses and hysteresis losses, voltage regulation of alternators and transformers. Panel is very friendly and engaging. All the best!
EE Dt-10/8/17 Slot 12.30 Interview details: As I was the last candidate before lunch no intro...they just started rapid fire.... 1)Sinusoidal voltage supply given to a iron core inductor then what will be the wave shape of current and flux 2)diff betwn copper and aluminium conductors 3)types of energy source 4)solar cell 5)wind energy (disadvantages) Thats all...and the Coal Bhawan office is dame good...
