IBPS CWE Clerk V Cutoffs and Result analysis
Dear readers,
IBPS has declared the final result of IBPS CWE Clerks V on 1st of April, 2016. A large number of candidates competed to gain the Clerical cadre posts in various banks. Candidates were competing for total 24,604 vacancies across all the states in the country.
In this article, we will look at the cutoffs for IBPS Clerks 2015 exam and analyse it thoroughly. This will benefit you in your preparation. It will also help you set your targets for next year's exam. But, before analysing the scorecard, let us take a quick glance at the new pattern of the exam.
Pattern of exam: This year's IBPS Clerk 2015 exam was held in three different stages as follows:
Exam Marks allotted
Phase I - Preliminary 100
Phase II - Mains 200
Cutoffs at various stages of the exam:
1) Phase I - Preliminary Exam :
This year's' preliminary exam overall cutoffs & sectional cutoffs are as follows:
Note: The marks obtained by candidates in the preliminary exam are for the purpose of eligibility for Mains exam only. These marks are not included in the final score.
The difficulty level of reasoning section was easy to moderate. Verbal Aptitude section was the easiest section in this exam. Where as the difficulty level of Quantitative aptitude section was easy to moderate. Overall, the level of difficulty is much easy as expected. The questions were easy, straightforward & less time consuming.
2) Phase II - Mains
Though as per the official notification released by IBPS before the exam committed a three phase pattern for IBPS Clerk 2015, the exam was of two phases only. Later in their declaration, IBPS removed the Phase III (interview) from the process of selection. Hence, the marks obtained by candidates in the IBPS Clerk mains 2015 exam were considered as the final result. The merit list for this exam will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the mains exam by the candidates for their provisional allotments as clerks.
The overall cutoffs in IBPS Mains 2015 are as follows:
The difficulty level of Verbal aptitude section was easy to moderate. The reasoning section was of easy to moderate level. However, many students have indicated that this section was the toughest one. The difficulty level of Quantitative aptitude section was easy to moderate.
The difficulty level of General awareness section was moderate. In Computer awareness section was very easy to solve.
Overall, IBPS Clerk 2015 exam was fairly easy to tackle. Exclusion of interviews was indeed a good news for candidates who have already performed well in the Mains exam. It is advised to consider the this year's cutoffs while preparing and setting a target for next year's IBPS Clerk examination. This will help you make a proper plan and prepare an appropriate test taking strategy to take care of your exam.
