So, the cutoff is unexpectedly high. You'll hear many reasons for the same. Some will say, "the paper was easy, so.....", some will say "the vacancies have been reduced..." and some will say "they have screened in very less candidates".
What you need to do is, ignore all this crap, and keep the focus on 20th November.
The paper was not easy, and trust me, the vacancies have not been reduced. One possible reason can be the last one. That they have selected less number of candidates than expected. Which, in fact, is a good thing, in my opinion.
I'll tell you why. A person who would have scored 43 or 45, may go on to score more than you in mains, and hence your chance of selection gets reduced. Simple probability: less number of candidates, more chances to make it through.
Also, it doesn't matter what the other person has scored, be it 74, 69 or 47.75. Each and everyone of you are equally good, and it all depends on your day.
Not to dishearten anyone, but the one scoring 74 or 65 might not clear Mains, and the one scoring tad above the cutoff, 47.75, might easily clear the cutoff and make it to the final list.
If you cleared the cutoff, then you're good to go.

Cutoff bht high gaya.. is bar shayad bht kam candidate select hua hai mains k liye.. tabhi sirf ek shift hai aur exam center bhi jyada nhi hai
Puys , since the cut off is 47.5 which is exactly similar to sbi po pre. I believe that ibps has called around 50-60k students for mains? What u think guys ??
