Read this if u r confused abt the marking system used by DMRC::

Accd to DMRC Notification::

Candidates who qualify separately in Paper-I & Paper-II and rank high on the merit list within the zone of consideration in (Both Paper-I & Paper-II separately) as

decided by DMRC shall be called, based on the overall merit of CBT(both Paper-I & Paper-II together), category wise, for Medical Examination/GD & Interview,

at Delhi/NCR.

Now lets talk abt this in detail::

a)) There will be 3 or 4 cut offs. One for technical in paper 1,One for overall paper 1 ,one for paper 2, and an overall cut off(P1+P2). Candidate will be shortlisted for medical based on overall cut off(P1+P2)

b))Candidate must rank high on the merit list within the zone of consideration in (Both Paper-I & Paper-II separately) as decided by DMRC.

Now what is this Zone of consideration that DMRC will decide separately for paper 1 and 2?? This term can have several meanings.

1>> The first meaning can be the weightage of Paper 1 and Paper 2 in deciding the overall merit. Weightage means the overall ratio(P1:P2) in deciding the overall merit. By default it is 2:1(120:60). This ratio may be changed.

2>> The second meaning can be considering only the technical part(of P1) and the whole P2 for preparing two separate merit lists. And the Candidate will have to rank higher in both lists. And the final selection will still be based on overall (P1+P2).

I know this is very confusing. That’s why I am giving an example.  See the data carefully. This is how I think the system will work.

Let we have 6 candidates(A,B,C,D,E,F). Out of these 6, let say 3 have to be shortlisted for further process.  Assuming Technical cutoff(45/75),  Overall P1(70/120), P2(30/60) be the respective cut offs.

Now we assume their marks to be in format::

Candidate[Technical,P1Overall, P2,Total(P1+P2)]

A(42,72,35,-)

B(50,73,28,-)

C(65,90,45,135)

D(61,88,40,128)

E(60,86,42,128)

F(62,88,41,129)

Now A is not able to clr sectional cut off of technical while B is not able to clr sectional cut off of English(P2), that’s why their total marks are not mentioned because they are automatically out of race.

Now if Final list is generated on basis of overall marks we can clearly see C,F are already shortlisted. Now the qs is who out of E and D is to be shortlisted for further process. Because we have to select only 3 any they both have same overall marks. Here the role of rank wise lists comes into play.

Rank wise list of Technical portion::

1. C(65)

2. F(62)

3. D(61)

4. E(60)

Rank wise list of P2(English portion)::

1. C(45)

2. E(42)

3. F(41)

4. D(40)

If we generate a combined rank wise list::

1.C(1+1=2)

2.F(2+3=5)

3 E(4+2=6)

4.D(3+4=7)

Thus accd to this combined rank wise list C,F and E will be shortlisted. Here we see E has same overall marks as D but still it has a better rank. So the system can go like this. Its upto the DMRC how they make the adjustments.

Universal Truth 1. Apna paper sabko tough lagta hai aur dusra ka pura asan. 2 Apna paper me 40/75 karenge Lekin dusro ka paper me 75/75 karenge. 3. Response sheet ane se pehle sabke 65+/75 ayenge with 200% accuracy. 4. Response ane ke bad 60+/75 bolenge aur cut off 58 Gaya to bolenge mera Ku nahi hua mera to 60+ 65+ aa Raha tha .

When the result of DMRC je mechanical will publish?
