If mean score is 55 ( assuming maximum students are getting this)
Standard deviation= 2%
Then there is 95% probability that the candidates scoring more than 58 (55+2*2% of 75) will get selected.
And there is 99% probability that the candidates scoring more than 59.5 (55+3*2% of 75) will get selected.
95% chance = 58+
99% chance= 59.5+

Well, many people messaged me how i calculated. I will not go into details. Here is a quick view:
Step1: I calcualted mean score (using survey result)
Step2: Each individual score is subtracted from the mean and then squared.
Step3: Sum all the squared value and divide the summation by (N-1), Here N is total number of sample.
Step4: Square root of the value obtained in step3 is taken. This is what we call standard deviation. We got 2% (approx)
Step5: We know all random variables exhibit NORMAL DISTRIBUTION Curve.
Step6: So the score above 2nd deviation (mean+2*std.dev) lies in 95% zone and that above 3rd deviation (mean+3*std.dev) lies in 99.7% zone.
This is as simple. I have used microsoft excel to calculate all these. There is nothing complex.
