Hi Guys,
Planning for ERP certification.Where will I get the study material and is there anybody willing to share the same

Actually I couldn't pass it first time when I took it in June 2010.

For example, who produce more nuclear energy and they give choice as
Russia, france, india, US.

Four muliple choices has four of those countries in different order. I would say exam ranks 10 in terms of difficulty.

I bought the material. Let me know if anyone wants to share.

Hey guys. I am planning to give ERP in May/Nov 2011.

Checked the course content and found that a lot of the course content has changed from 2010, so I decided to buy the latest material. I was wondering if there is anyone who would be interested in sharing the erp reading pack.

The digital version for members is USD 500. Having registered for ERP, I am a member of GARP and therefore can get the course at the discounted price.

I hope all the digital content is on PDFs and not digitally encoded to work on one laptop only. Can anyone please confirm this ?

It seems someone has been using my identity and claiming to have passed "ERP" certification in Nov 2010. The only person by the name Akshay to have been certified for ERP is me.
Request you all to not be fooled by the false identity claims.

Also request the moderators of this site to exclude those posts and the person from misleading the persons on this group.

I am working with ONGC in their Marketing Group. I am planning on taking GARP ERP exam in Nov 2011. I am not entirely convinced about the same though and would love to get some inputs from people here about a couple of things.

1. It's relevance and acceptability in India?
2. What kind of opportunities such a certification will open?

Hi,

Is it necessary to compulsarily buy the ERP course pack from GARP for every new registration. While registering (in the 3rd step) it asked for electronic/printed material & there was no option for not buying the material. Plz. advice.

- The exam is not very much relevant for India, and not at all for ONGC.
- The exam mainly deals with the Trading ( F&O;) and complex options of Energy related comodities such as - Crude Oil, Gas, Electricity, Naptha etc.

This is a very important part of business for any Energy Industry, but public sector doesn't do this.
In India, Reliance is doing this (crack spread - mainly for its refinery)

Positives -
1. You will learn alot from the exam about both - Energy mkt and Finance
2. Very good thing if you plan to shift to energy finance/ consultancy/trading.

BTW I am working in ONGC, cleared the exam in Nov-2010.

When I registered in 2010, it was NOT compulsory to buy material.
Regarding study plan you asked in PM -
Start reading the material asap. If you seen the material then you must have realised that it is huge. Go thru the 'physical part' once asap.

For finance part, if you get it from the notes, its good. Else read CFA L1 Derivatives material (its Book-5 I think, not sure)
