1) regarding HRA. whats the maximum amount we can declare ( tax declarations ) and still dont have to submitt bills other than the self declared bills.
2) are u guys filing ur stocks details .
I don't think theres a cap on maximum amount like this, instead you have to submit a rent receipt (given and signed by house owner not self declared) even to claim Re 1 and I think the same goes on for a million too provided IT Deptt. get convinced
What do u think about the de coupling thoery? how true is it or vice versa?
For those who dont know what de - coupling thoery is :- Basically assumes that the indian market(or other markets) are not related to the us markets.that is the indian markets will continue to move up even if the us markets go down.

Sadly, but there cant be any decoupling between US markets and Indian markets. To give you some idea, 1- The stake FII's have in Indian equity market is ~23% 2 - US has the largest stake in Indian export business, ~16%, If US growth rate falls (Goldman projected ~1% for FY 08, or dollar depreciates further, there is a good probability that Indian markets also fall, and small Indian exports houses will be shut soon.

To which country does india expot the maximum stuff? from Which country india imports the maximum stuff? which country has maximum investments in india??
what i read couple of days bak in ET was that only 14 % of indias GDP consists of exports and of which just 2% is to us. on the other hand china has 40% of its gdp from exports and of which around 40 % is from us.So china will be more affeted by the US recession as compared to india.
I guess everyone who filled up the maximum limit is getting 15-16 shares. Regarding the Listing price of Rel power i dont think it will list above 550 as people r now very much concerned with the actual valuations after the recent debacle in the indian stock market.people wont get carried away with the name and try to keep the stock price at true levels .
I wanted to know whether there is any site where i can find info regarding reasons behind the increase in the value of rupee in dollar terms? reply awaited...and would be more than happy if any Puy can shed some light on this issue in detail

i had applies through reliance money account which is linked with UTI bank.
Till now i havent received any refund.
the reliance people asked me to call intime spectrum. but there line is busy from past 2 days
Is anybody else facing the same problem and what should id do to get back my money.
There is some problem with the release of money, few of my friends are also facing the same problem. I believe there could be major sell-off on 11th of this month (This is my personal opinion)
To tell abt myself I've been investing in the stock mkts since 2006 May. This is my first post in this thread. Here are some of the basics that I have gathered anyone should consider before investing from moneycontrol. Pls let me know if you find it interesting.

wht u say guyz?
NTPC is valued at 22x FY10 earnings.. Rel Power is at 498x (assumin Offer price)
And now talk about "valuation" :sarcasm:
I believe it will open close to 600 but will dip as day goes.. but wont go beyond 525 at closing... Reliance has a enough "brand power" in indian stock markets... There will be good amount of buyers who would want to keep Reliance irrespective of valuation... So cant really say whats gonna happen...
Yes RELPOW might debut at 600 but will start going downwards, infact might go below IPO price in a month before it can actually move up. Retail has some close to 5 crore shares and most of them if not all of them were lured to get the listing gains. So I would think there is a lot selling going to happen, may not necessarily be a grt buying time. Infact, the whole power pack might be weak, with some resistance from NTPC ?

I believe in same day Reliance power could see some discount on screen, 11th could be a testing day for markets. Anyways, Reliance never made its investors unhappy, lets see if the trend continues. NTPC has a far better business than reliance power, if reliance power will trade at 200x then NTPC should see some upside from its current valuation.
Well i got the future capital money, still waiting for Reliance Power refund :(
Am in a bit hurry so, jyada roshini to nahin per haan thodi si diyasalai zaroor maar sakta hoon See for any stock the more markets it is listed the more recognisation and trust it develops, so through ADR (American Depository Receipt) few stocks of a company say Infosys are locked (deposited) in from other countries market (Indian markets in case of Infy.) and and receipts against them are issued in American Stock Exchange. This provides wider investor base, more liquidity to script and better price discovery. 😃 For more please refer omnipresent...wiki here.... True, "Valuation" does not hold here.
But if you go backwards and see
Unitech's daily upper circuit MMTC's run Essar Oil's run
where does valuation comes into picture.
Reliance Power has got the highest number of shareholders and I can bet lot of investors don't talk 'valuation'.
Retail investors have already got very less shares (15 or 16 or 17) and not all would be so much worry to sell it on listing for gains. As the amount of lock in would be around Rs 10,000. The FIIs can play the game and it matters the most there.
Yes,its true that the price of the share can go down looking into many things. Reliance Petro (yes:Reliance) shares came down from 100 odd mark to 70 odd mark within 15 days of listing. I mean down to issue price within a month or so. So the bad market can take a toll on anyone. But let's see what's in store for Reliance Power.
It would be an interesting year ahead as Reliance has lot of IPOs coming ahead. Reliance Fresh, Reliance Tower. And may be we can see Reliance Entertainment.
