Any one have some idea about the NASD Series examinations (series 62,series 7 etc) ,I couldnt find any thread for this or didn't come across in any of the threads either.If anyone have idea about it please share it.

FRM Query:

Hi all,

I am a Computer Engineer with some basic knowledge of Acocunting (10th Standard) and Economics (12th std.). Wanted ot know certain facts about the FRM Exam..

1. How easy / difficult is it for a person from a non-finance background (but decent quantitative skills) to clea rthe FRM? -- I know this is a relative question .. but would still like to read opinions on it.

2. What is the conversion ratio: in the sense how many people out of the number that apply for the exam end up clearing it?

Would be glad if someone could answer these questions..

Guys..we have seen how active this group was for those who had started leat year..but they had also started late..let us begin ours frm mow itself..and make this an active group..for te time being i have started studyin frm hull...yet to purchase the schweser materal...wat abt te others...

the early registration opens on march 1 and closes on 30th april.. its the time period u get to pay the least for registration.. ... u can find more info on GARP : Global Association of Risk Professionals

i am also thinkin of givin tis november.. i work in crisil n come to nitie on friday n saturday for classes as a part of my crisil analyst program.. did u start u preparation??

I had a question..

Which is an easier exam to clear??.. FRM or CFA Level-1?... ANd of course, I mean the International CFA ... not the ICFAI one..

Would be glad if someone could help me out with these little details..

hey praful thanks alot for d info...i havent started yet....but many of my seniors hve given it n wat i felt frm their experiences was dat FRM doesnt require an year long study do i would be starting only after march.... actually m waiting if CFA mess clears up....was planning to give it dis dec.....so as soon as dat gets cleared up ill focus on FRM.....
im pursuing IM course in NITIE..do meet me if u come next time to NITIE....ill PM u my no.
