A Binary Symmetric channel has bit error probability 10^(-5). If 10^5 bits are sent then what is the probability that maximum 1 bit error is there in received signal? i solved this que with following way..please correct me if i am wrong...channel is binary symmetric so probability of transmitting 1 and0 is 0.5 so error probability for one bit is 0.5 *10^(-5) hence lamada = np =0.5 so ans is 0.803...pls post ur opinion

i found following question very confusing in Gate ec 2016 31st jan afternoon paper-
1. some data was given and minimum bit energy was asked
2. max delay of a digital circuit given
3. DFT -FFT
4. y(n)= x(n)-x(n-2) , which filter?
5. p= 10-5, 10^5 bits send, find p(x
6. find z parameter of given system?
7. 3 orthogonal vectors were given, another vector in terms of these 3 vector was asked.
8. three mosfet were connected and voltage ratio was asked.
9. energy band diagram was given and its operating region was asked,
10. a triangle and a plane was given, volume was asked.
11. I-V curve given, order of bandgap was asked.
