I have a query on IITs cutoffs that I see on many websites.

Exactly , What do these cutoffs represent ?

Are these the minimum marks that are required to be eligible for written test/interview ?  If yes,   Where can I get marks/rank of the last candidate who got admission into IITs ?

      OR

Are these the marks of the last candidate who got admission into IITs for M.Tech after final counselling  ?

What do we have to select in 'FINANCIAL STATUS' ? I can do away with the assistance ship if the cut off for self sponsored seat is less.

Will the cut offbe less for self sponsored or its just the same?

and do i have to fill separate forms for applying to different departments?

Sorry, I have a very silly question but i am worried: I gave percentage of only science subjects(i.e. average of 3 subjects) while filling class 10 and 12 marks for M.Tech. Will there be any problem during admission? Thanks in advance.
