Interview pannel of NTPC is very friendly and session comprises of various parts.
GD and Interview:
Same weightage is given to GD and Interview .
Not necessary you should have very fluent english but you should be
able to communicate well even though if its basic english that will
solve the purpose. HR Interview:
Above all this one should prepare in advance regarding your
introduction, why do you want to join NTPC, why you are willing to leave
your current job , why should i select you etc. Technical Interview: Technical questions asked are simple and from the basics. Topics that are mainly 1. Power Plant very very detailed study of Book P K Nag (Power Plant) specially Rankine Cycle analysis 2. HMT 3. Thermodynamics 4. FM 5. SOM 6. Vibrations 7. I C Engine 7. Questions regarding work experience if any , project work and synopsis during studies is also covered sometimes.
Important point to ponder is not only GATE score is given preference
but overall performance decides your chance of selection . So prepare
well and give your best.
