why this year psu intake is very less.....we expected 400 to 500 vacancies in ongc itself.....but it is just 50 for oc....and i think all psu vacancies if we combine it may be 200 to 250 for oc category..what rank we should get to get into psu????.....then in coming years will the intake goes decline even more???
I would like to give some information for all those who want to prepare for next year gate:Guys,there are hardly any good job oppurtunities after m.tech even in top iits or nits(got to know when i visited iit delhi,guwahati,even madras to an extent)),even if u get u wont be satisfied.AND THERE R NEGLIGIBLE VACANCIES IN PSUS.Coaching centres such as made easy,ace..........are unnecessarliy creating overhype on this gate exam for the sake of their own benefit and spoiling lives of many engg. graduates.We should have done our b.tech itself in iits or nits,not m.tech.ONLY THOSE WHO R INTERESTED IN DOING HARDCORE RESEARCH OR TEACHING JOBS can take up gate exam.Those who r financially strong and interested in researsch do m.s in foreign.This is what i finally got to know after consulting many m.tech students in various iits.Take a wise decision.

Current scenario of Mtech placement & PSU 's vacancy forcing me to opt out for preparation of Ssc Cgl..
So I just wanna know from experienced member of this community. .am I taking a right decision?
Or I keep myself motivated & start preparing for gate.
Is it worth putting my efforts & time in Gate despite knowing the fact that opportunity will / are going to be very less in comparison with others such as CGL.
