You guys aware of branch changing due to internal shuffles. Last year one of my frnd having marks around 64 so score around 680 gen cat. He got material science in warangal as it was 4th choice. But inspite he didnt lock the seat, hoping for production as 1st choice and after few days got production, as soon as top branch candidates had left the seats. So 650-700 score band guys dont loose your hope to get gud college as well as gud branch.

I have a gate score 707 and rank 2139.Do i stand a chance for M tech or MS research from iit's in Design or Thermal and Fluid Sciences.I will apply accordingly.
Also How is the aerospace at IIT Bombay and are there any scope for PHD from foreign universities after that?
I have 2.5 years work ex in FEA field.Will that be of any help for getting into?
Or should i concentrate solely on gate for a year?
