A sincere doubt: Why is everyone with ranks < 100 or maybe <50 opting for microelectronics and VLSI? It is because they seriously interested in analog circuits and CMOS OR it is because it is a trend? Is it that VLSI has better placements than Communications or signal processing? Experts/ people already pursuing M.Tech are welcome to comment about the preference of specialisation . Thanks.
