1. The shortlist is expected to come in this week in few days.

2. The number of applicants is a confidential thing. But the obv thing is that the no of cmat applicants is def very less as compared to no of xat applicants.

3. Kindly go through the last few pages of this thread. You will get some more information.

Now don't start speculating about CMAT cut offs, no of calls, etc..

That is the basic reason why number of applicants is not revealed with aspirants. But it was disclosed by one of our faculty in an interview with PG.

Anyways, all the best to everyone for the call..

Even we are not sure how much true it is.. as we have not been told anything on this..

even 6950 is a gud number..considering d fact dat gim is amongst d 2 colgs under xat which doesn't accept cat score..ds is wat ev1 lyks bout gim..its transparency in evthnggim rocks!!!

With not much to do before the list comes out, I thought to list some facts about GIM:

1. Estd. 1993, 19 year strong history

2. Total intake: 240

4. Cutoff: 76.48 percentile(XAT)

5. Waitlist movement 2011: 125

6. Placements 2011: Average 8.82 lacs, Mean 8.06 lacs

7. Fees: 9.89 lacs (for full 2 years)

8. PG Rank: 37 (shared with IIM Rohtak)

9. X-Factor: Situated in Goa, good placements

1. For XAT, 15%ile is lowered from the cut offs for Non-Goans.

2. We are not sure how it will be done for CMAT as we have scores and rank in CMAT.

3. Will try to get info on this and then let you know.

Please refrain from asking such questions. CMAT was held for the first time so no one has any idea. If you have filled up the form just wait. Results can be out anytime. Anyways CMATking has predicted the cut off as 199-196. Keep your fingers crossed
